L'Oréal Wants To Replace Traditional Ingredients With Sustainable Alternatives
L'Oréal has invested in a venture led by biotechnology company Geno. With this, the group wants to support the development of sustainable alternatives to the most important ingredients for cosmetic products. The manufacturer states that it will replace classic ingredients with bio-based variants in the future. The goal is to use 100 per cent eco-designed formulations by 2030, using ingredients that are 95 per cent derived from renewable or abundant resources.
