Ginkgo Combats Ageing Cells
New Active Ingredient Supports Immune Defence Against Senescent Fibroblasts
Silab has introduced a new natural active ingredient with an anti-ageing effect. Senevisium is derived from Ginkgo biloba. According to the manufacturer, the active ingredient can support the immune system in removing ageing fibroblasts.
Thickness and Elasticity Are Renewed
The immune system plays an important role in cellular ageing. It detects senescent (ageing) cells that have a detrimental effect on the skin and removes them. However, fibroblasts can adapt with time to the immune system's defences in order to escape them, the company explains. The patented active ingredient Senevisium is designed to reduce this effect. It enables the skin to renew its thickness and elasticity. According to the manufacturer, it softens wrinkles and improves the radiance of the complexion in only a short time.
Compliant With International Guidelines
For use in anti-ageing products, the company recommends adding a measure of 0.5 to 2.0 percent. The ingredient comes as an aqueous solution that can be easily incorporated into formulations. It complies with biological diversity regulations and has a natural origin content of 98.8 percent (ISO 16128). It also fulfils the requirements of international cosmetics regulations in Europe, the United States, China, Japan and other countries.
