With Keradeep, the Spanish cosmetics group Provital has developed an innovative hair care product made from pine bark extract that strengthens the structure of the hair at a molecular level. The active ingredient is of completely natural origin and is rich in polyphenols with an antioxidant effect for healthy, protected hair from the inside, according to the company. The natural active ingredient offers protection against damage such as heat and bleaching. The product is therefore a solution for consumers who do not want to do without potentially damaging hair treatments such as bleaching and at the same time want strong and healthy hair.

Use of new technologies

In the new development of Keradeep, Provital has broken new scientific ground with innovative technologies to investigate the molecular structure of the hair. For example, a patented fluorescence probe was used to label carbonyl groups and measure the level of damaged proteins in the hair after bleaching or heat treatment. In addition, an ALBA synchrotron technology was used to demonstrate the effect of Keradeep.

Antioxidant effect confirmed

According to the company, the studies have shown that Keradeep protects the proteins of the cuticle layer by 68 per cent and the proteins of the cortex by 71 per cent against oxidative stress. A protective antioxidant effect has also been demonstrated. Keradeep is preservative-free, halal-certified and fulfils COSMOS and vegan standards.
