Belgian start-up AmphiStar, a leading provider of bio-based surfactant innovations, is launching two new sustainable lines, AmphiCare® and AmphiClean®. The newly launched products are made entirely from organic waste and side streams and are the first fully recycled bio-based surfactants to hit the market.

AmphiCare® was developed for the personal care market and provides the purity and functionality required for cosmetic products such as shampoos, make-up removers and other skin care products. It meets the industry's requirements for skin compatibility, mildness and performance for sustainable beauty products.

…sustainable cleaning

AmphiClean® is aimed at the home care market. It is optimized for high performance cleaning products, including multi-surface cleaners, dishwashing detergents and cleansers, and provides effective degreasing and soil removal while reducing environmental impact.

Advanced surfactants

The biosurfactants are produced using clean biological conversion processes and are derived from local organic biowaste and by-products of agri-food processing. They follow the principles of the circular economy and offer environmentally friendly, safe and biodegradable alternatives. Due to the lack of dependence on fossil raw materials and vegetable oil (e.g. palm oil) or sugar, AmphiCare® and AmphiClean® have a good sustainability profile and a meaningful life cycle analysis.
